On this journey of life, joys and sorrows come our way.
And, sometimes it may seem like the sorrow outweighs the joy. Things can break our heart...terribly.
But, you know what?
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all."
~Psalm 34:18, 19 NIV
Jesus is all knowing--He cares deeply for each individual...and what happens to them.
No matter what you are going through, He's there. Even if it seems like He is a million miles away.
Call on His name. Rest in Him. Take refuge in Christ.
We can only see the present. But Jesus can see the past, present, and future. He has an ultimate plan for our lives, and sometimes, it does includes hardships. These will hopefully, in the end, bring about beautiful character and a closer walk with our Creator. Take it from a friend who has this knowledge, from having walked through this.
Take heart. Don't give up hope! You're beautiful. God loves you and so do I. *smiles*
:::Now, I would like to share with you a wonderful worship song:::

Also, I have found that it really helps to have a compassionate friend that listens to you, and the tough things you are going through. Please feel free to share any prayer requests with me in a comment!
{if you would rather not have it published, please say so}
Speaking of prayer requests, I have an urgent one...
Please be in prayer for Ms.Molly!
(She is such a dear friend of ours and also mom to my bestie, Emily).
Ms. Molly has been in the hospital for a little over a week now due to some complications after she had her usual maintenance chemo to treat her cancer. See this post to learn more.
Their whole family is very dear to my heart. Please be praying for all of them!

This is a subject that has been on my heart lately...
I felt compelled to share it with you! {hugs}

Having supportive friends is so important!! There have been many times when I have needed someone to pray for me and I send out an email and within a few hours I have so much encouragement in my inbox. Having someone to cry on isn't bad either.
ReplyDeleteI loved when you said that Jesus can see the past, present and future. So often I pray, "Jesus, if you could just do this..." Then later I realize that God meant that for good and that he really does have a plan for my life.
Thank you for the information about the font. I understand about how long it takes to get back on blog comments. :)

This is an amazing post Moriah.
ReplyDeleteIt almost takes my breath away because I have just written about the same thing on one of my blogs! I am finding that us two write so much alike. I have a blog called "The Wonders of Christ" where I write about the power and wonder of our King and about a month ago I wrote about lifting our burdens to God! This post means so much to me and I'm sure it means a lot to all your readers too. Great job! And keep up the good work of showing God's love!
Here is my other blog's link http://thewondersofchrist.blogspot.com/
God bless!

It was so encouraging to read this post, Moriah. Although I may not know you personally, it is so wonderful to hear what another sister in Christ is learning through the very pages of God's Word. Thank you for sharing! It has been a difficult time in my life now, with facing spiritual battles and such, and this post really encouraged me to be steadfast in the Word and to cast all my cares upon the One who knows me completely through and through and who is the only one who can equip me to fight this fight of faith! Thank you again! :) God bless!
