I've always wondered what it's like in Heaven.
I believe it is so glorious that we can't even imagine what it is like until the Lord calls us there.
What a joy it must be for Christians to be face to face with their Maker,
surrounded by angels and loved ones they knew they would meet again one day.
"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
Psalm 16:11
NKJV
I have a precious friend who just entered Heaven through the pearl gates for the first time last night...
Mrs. Molly. Never was there a truer friend, wife, mother...A sweeter companion or encourager. She has such a beautiful legacy. One of a triumphant faith, even while walking through the trials that come with cancer. It was a long journey for her, but her love for her family and God was steadfast, constant, and sincere.
She is experiencing the joys of Heaven now. Her tears are bottled, her sickness is no more, her Master has graced her with a crown. Her feet walk along streets of gold.
I wouldn't trade for the world. It has been a blessing to be able to stand by her side, ready to offer a
word of encouragement, a hug, or prayers.
This is a very difficult time for their family and I know they would all appreciate your prayers.
You can write a little note to Emily here if you would like to. :)
:::my prayer is this:::
Dear Heavenly Father,
You know that Emily's family is going through the loss of a loved one right now.
May you fill the whole family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Help them to feel Your presence--And be comforted.
In Jesus Christ's Name, Amen.
And, in honor of Mrs. Molly, I would like to share I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin. She enjoyed this song, and even though it brings the tears, I like to listen to it, because it reminds me of her, and the happiness she must be experiencing right now...in Heaven.

p.s there will be no tuesday's tidbits tomorrow. I think I'll be taking a little bloggy break right now...

Oh my!!!! Yesterday I was thinking about Heaven! and how the joy is so incredible and how we are actually going to see our Creator's face! I know this post is from the Lord! For lately so many things have been standing out to me and I just stand in awe!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking yesterday "Wow! I am actually going to see God's face...I mean, I feel like I know Him so well that I can see Him face to face, but when I really thinking about it, in Heaven I will be able to really see His beautiful bright face. It's amazing..." And I went on thinking about it for some time! But then to read your post that is the SAME thing I was JUST talking about is incredible!!! Thank you so much for sharing, for it truly means a lot and God has been using your posts lately to show God's understanding and love! Thanks!
God bless!
i know Emily appreciates this post, moriah. you are such a sweet friend & i hope we both can help her through this. :)
ReplyDeletepraying as well...
That was very touching about what you wrote.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it's like to lose a parent, but I know that if it ever happened to me it would...break my heart to a million pieces that can never be put back together again. But I know that Jesus would pick up those pieces and put it back together in time.
Mrs. Molly sounds like a great woman. I wish I knew her in person.
"We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died. For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died. For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord for ever. Therefore encourage one another with these words."~ 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
how great heaven is!

ReplyDeleteHi Moriah,
ReplyDeleteI found my way to your blog through Miss Jen's following list on her profile. I am so sorry to hear of this dear lady passing and yet I rejoice with you that she no longer has to suffer. I know that your hearts still continue to ache with grief for the loss of such a precious friend even in the midst of rejoicing, so I will pray for you all as you transition through this time. May you feel His Presence very near to you!
With Love from a Sister in the Messiah,
