Overcoming Fear

"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with  you.  He will not leave you nor forsake you." 

(Deuteronomy 31:6)

Fear.  What a word.  It towers over us as a giant would--trying to crush our faith. 

As Christians we have to battle it constantly by renewing our mind with the promises of the Bible. 

We have to keep fighting back the lies Satan will try to plant in our hearts with the truth of God's words.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ... (2 Corinthians 10:5a)

I think one of the most difficult things I struggle with daily is fear...it isn't an easy thing to fight. 

But, I always love the feeling of Christ's overwhelming peace that fills my heart when I ask Him for it. 

It completely outweighs fear, worry, or doubt.  God is much BIGGER than fear ever will be. 

 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:
 because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4b) 

That's what we all have to realize with a smile.  We can Overcome with Him on our side!
