It was a list to thank God for the gifts He gives, however great or small.
To give thanks for all the ways He loves me.
I took the challenge of Ann Voskamp to write down not 1...10... or 100...but 1,000 gifts.
I must say that doing this has been one of the most joyous, fulfilling things in my Christian walk.
These are just a few of the many, many gifts.
600. falling in love with God by getting to know Him more
693. cinnamon honey spread on toast
777. Patch of leafy sunlight, dancing on floor
881. warm chilli on a cold evening

To give thanks opens up a whole new world, making you aware of the One who is the Giver of every good and perfect gift. {James 1:17}
Want something to stoke your passion for Christ? This is the thing to do it!

About a week or so before last Thanksgiving, I realized how close I was to completing by list of gifts. I wanted to finish it by that time. God is good. On Thanksgiving day, I filled up the last few pages and reached 1,000. My heart overflowed with gratitude. Love.
So many wonderful emotions. I was singing with such joy inside.
What was last, but not least?
1,000. How glorious it is to give thanks to the Giver of gifts
