John 3:16

Words of love.  Words beating with the precious hope of God's love.  Beaming with promise.  Alive with the gift of everlasting life addressed to the world--From before the foundation of it.

God's arms stretch wide pleading.  He beckons for embrace.

His Son embraced death of the cross for the joy of us fatherless knowing the Father.

John 3:16 is perhaps the most well known verse worldwide.   It is almost too well known, cliche.
The way people rattle it off, meaning escapes.

Is lost.

Confession: I've done that too.

Let the deep truth so simple, so life giving slip through the fingers of my mind like grains of sand--
Failing to grasp and take hold of the beauty it contains.

But like an exhilarating ocean breeze, God has given me a fresh outlook.  New insight, which He graced through teaching me to cup my hands to receive.

These words written on my heart from John has been written with my hands on several cards for the orphans.   The richest gift I have to give and they have to receive is the whisper of God's love wide and deep enough for an entire world.

The light, the hope comes spilling out awaiting the time when the paper will accomplish the purpose.   Whatever God pleases, unable to return to Him empty.
