Majestic Love

This is the very essence of Christmas--the dawning splendor of redemption for all mankind. At times I am so in love with Jesus, tears fall in unrivaled adoration. What a precious Savior! His mighty, majestic love endears the heart at the perfume of His breathtaking beauty. He cares. Oh, how deeply he cares. His endless compassion desires to soothe searing wounds. He restores with the balm of His unending goodness, relentless mercy, and amazing grace. The heart of Jesus beats tenderly with this steadfast resolution--to draw us to Himself with His everlasting love {Jer 31:3}. He draws with the fervent desire to save!! Jesus came into this world as a tiny baby whose first breath breathed the same air as you and me.

Christmas is the embrace of God, bending down to gift us with the priceless treasure of His only Son, Jesus Christ. The riches of His righteousness was enough to pay the incomprehensible sin debt of entire humanity. We, a sinful people under the curse and alienated from God, were given a Savior, who would bear the full weight of our sin. Stretching out His arms on the cross, Jesus poured out His very life--His pure blood--to cover, to redeem, to purify all people who would come to be washed. His sacrificial death was an atonement so that we could draw near to Him. Three days after His burial, He rose in glorious victory.

God saw the future impact of Jesus' finished work and wrapped His willing Son in flesh as an act of loving compassion. As the first cry of the Babe of Bethlehem shattered the night, the fragile foundation to the heartbreak of humanity crumbled like crystal. The fierce hold of crippling, ugly pain was broken. The King of kings had arrived to bring speak peace to turmoil. Hope beamed brighter than the star. Whispering quiet the night of Jesus' birth, God reveals just WHY He sent His best--to end the heartbreak of pain, separation, sorrow, and sin. Because of the gift of Jesus, one day all that will be eradicated in the bliss of heaven--being with Him forever. All of the redeemed will rejoice!!

My finite mind can barely grasp it all. Like the radiance of the sun, one cannot fully behold the Son's entire splendor until heaven. But I raise my hands in worship to Him for these moments when I can glimpse His glory and majestic love.
