This summer, our family went camping in the mountains. It was an adventure, for sure.
The highlight of the trip was hiking up the mountain where my dad proposed to my mom almost 20 years ago. It was probably 6 miles round trip...hard...but worth it!
We did lots of hikes together, met new Christian friends, cooked over an open campfire, roasted hot dogs & marshmallows, survived pouring rain...and worse...waking up in the middle of the night a couple of times to a black bear roaming around the campground/our site. Yikes. You feel so vulnerable in a tent with a 350 to 400 lb animal so near. They say they are harmless though...just looking for food. Still....
One of my favorite things was to capture the scenery. Isn't God's handiwork marvelous??
The views were breathtaking to say the least...
The waterfalls were SO lovely...
That's one of our favorite vacation areas... the soft, green mountains of west NC. How beautiful your photos are, capturing rhododendron buds, green trees, and soft rivers {I love that song by Chris Tomlin too... :) } Glad that y'all had a fun and safe trip!
